A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND CITY COUNCIL
UPDATING, MODIFYING AND AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
OF THE CITY
WHEREAS, The City of Port Townsend adopted a Comprehansive
Plan in 1968, and
WHEREAS, the City undertook to update said plan in 1979,
and held public meetings, public hearings upon notice, and con-
ducted various studies and tests in connection thereof, and
WHEREAS the City Council for the City of Port Townsend
approved a new Comprehensive Plan in the interest of and for the
betterment and general welfare of the community on U~. ~_~ 2; ,
1983, whioh~together with the Ccmp~hensive:: Plan map is attached
hereto and by this reference incorporated herein as if set forth
in full, and
WHEREAS the City Council wishes to pass a Resolution ratifying
and confirming the Plan attached hereto as the Comprehensive Plan
for the City, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend
that:
(1) The attached Comsprehensive Plan for the City of
Port Townsend be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed as
the Comprehensive Plan for the City, together with the map contained
therein.
(2) All actions of anykind whatsoever taken pursuant to
said Plan which is attached hereto, from ~a.Zl, ..l~., are
hereby ratified and confirmed.
(3) The attached Comprehensive Plan shall continue in
effect as the Comprehensive'Plan of the City of Port Townsend until
amended or repealed by Resolution or Ordinance of the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if any part of this Resolution or
of the Comprehensive Plan be declared invalid or unenforceable by
a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining portions thereof
shall not be affected but shall remain in full force and effect.
Passed and Approved by the City Council for the C~ty of Port
Townsend and signed by the Mayor of the City on this ~day of
March, 1986.
