A RESOLUTION ADOPTING AND EXTENDING THE COMPREHENSIUE:-
PLAN FOR THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND TO THE ISLAND VISTA
PLAT, TAX LOT NO. 10, TAX LOT NO. 14, AND A PORTION OF
THE GALLEON VIEW ESTATES, ALL LYING IN A PORTION OF SEC.
15, TOWNSHIP 30 NORTH, RANGE 1 WEST, W.M., WHICH AREAS
ARE REASONABLY EXPECTED TO BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY IN
THE FUTURE
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend reasonably expec%s
that the following described areas adjacent to the City's boundaries
may be annexed to the City and become a part thereof in the
future, to wit the Plat of Island Vista, and Tax Lots 10 and 14
and that portion of the Galleon View Estates lying adjacent
thereto, all in a portion of Section 15~ Township 30 North, Range
1 West. W.M., and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires that the City's Comprehen-
sive Plan apply to said areas immediately upon any such annexa-
tion of all or a portion of the described lands and premises,
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and the City Council, after
notice, have conducted public hearings as required by state law
and the ordinances of the City concerning the adoption and exten-
sion of the City's Comprehensive Plan to the areas, and find
that the same will address and be consistent with the criteria
set forth in RCW 35.13.177, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Port
Townsend that:
(1) The City's Comprehensive Plan is here and hereby adopted
and extended to appty to all of the land and premises described
above.
(2) The attached map is here and hereby adopted as an addi-
tion to the City's Comprehensive Plan map, and incorporated herein.
(3) That Lots 1 thru 24 inclusive, of the Island Vista Plat,
and Tax Lot No. 14, and that portion of Galleoun View Estates all
described above be and they are hereby designated as "residential"
areas under the Comprehensive Plan; and that the Reserve Area shown
in the Island Vista Plat and Tax Lot 10 shown Dn the Map be and
they are hereby designated as "sensitive areas" under the Compre-
hensive Plan of the City.
(4) That the Comprehensive Plan designations and extension of
the Plan to the area take effect automatically and immediately
upon the annexation of the described lands to the City of Port
Townsend.
(5) That this Resolution and the Comprehensive Plan designa-
tions herein shall not be amended, modified or supplemented for
a period of two years following annexation of such area.
Passed by the City Council for the City of Port Townsend and
approved by the Mayor ~arch 4, 1986.
