A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE A TOURISM PROMOTION
CONTRACT WITH THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
WHEREAS, The Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit corporation, has requested
the opportunity to contract with the city to promote tourism within the
area, and,
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the public interest to enter
into a contract for tourism promotion, and,
WHEREAS, Hotel-Motel Transient Tax has been appropriated for this purpose,
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that:
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute
the annexed CONTRACT FOR PROMOTION'OF TOURISM with the Port Townsend Chamber
of Commerce to distribute brochures,and otherwise advertise the city for
a fee not to exceed $32,000.00.
Passed by the Port Townsend City Council on April 1, 1986.
