A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR
AND CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AMENDED WATER SALES CON-
TRACT WITH THE JEFFERSON COUNTY PUBLIC UTILITY
DISTRICT NO. 1
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend and the Public Utility
District No. 1 of Jefferson County entered into a water sales con-
tract dated April 2, 1985, providing for the City to sell water to
the District for project areas commonly known as the North Hastings
Loop and the South Hastings Loop, and
WHEREAS, the District is no able to obtain funding and
proceed with development of the North Hastings Loop project area,
and desires to amend the water sales contract by deleting all
reference to the North Hastings Loop project area and by removing
the supply of water provided for said area in the contract, and
WHEREAS, the parties further wish to amend the contract to
provide that the City will give the District the same notice, if
any is required, of any rate increase, as it gives its regular
retail water customers within the City limits, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Port Townsend
and the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed
to execute on behalf of the City, the attached amended water sales
contract, providing for the amendments set forth above, and other-
wise ratifying and confirming the previous agreement entered into
by the City.
