HomeMy WebLinkAbout86-041RESOLUTION 86-41 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO APPLY FOR A NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS GRANT FOR THE JACKSON BEQUEST PROJECT WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend is proceeding with the design and development of the JaCkson Bequest project pursuant to the Last Will and Testament of Ruth Jackson, with proceeds of her estate, and WHEREAS, a grant is or may be available from the National Endowment for the Arts in the amount of Fifty Thousand Dol~lars, ($50,000) which can be used to help pay the cost of the proposed project, NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved, by the City Council for the City of Port Townsend that the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to apply for a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts in the amount of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000), to be used for the Jackson Bequest Project, for artist's fees, completion of Phase Two, and establishment of contingency funds, and he is further authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City any documents and applications necessary to apply for said grant. Passed and approved by the City Council for the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor this 2nd day of December, 1986.
