A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CANCELATION OF
UTILITY CHARGES FOR THE JAMES HOUSE
WHEREAS, on March 15, 1988, the city council found that an
error was made on the closing bill for Account No. 12-000007 for
the James House, and,
WHEREAS, collection of the unbilled charges for the previous
owner of the James House has been deemed impossible, and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has deemed it unreasonable to hold
the current owners responsible for these previous charges, now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PORT TOWNSEND CITY COUNCIL, that:
The City Clerk-Treasurer is here and hereby authorized and
directed to cancel the previous charges of $86.52 which remained
outstanding on Account No. 12-000007 at the time of the change
of ownership together with all penalties or interest which may
have been assessed against this account since that time.
PASSED July 19, 1988.
