A RESODUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING
THE PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1256 LAWRENCE
STREET WITHIN THE CITY, AND AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF
A COUNTER-OFFER TO PURCHASE SAID PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Port Townsend previous-
ly authorized the Mayor O£ the City to present an offer for the pur-
chase of the property located at 1256 Lawrence Street, Port Townsend,
Washington, described as Lot i of Kuhn's Ranch Addition to the City
of Port Townsend, for a total purchase price of $45,000, and
WHEREAS, in response to said o£fer, the City has been presented
with a counter-offer dated September 29, 1988, and
WHEREAS, the City Council ~or the City of Port Townsend desires
to purchase the property in accordance with the terms of the counter-
offer, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of
Port Townsend be and they are hereby authorized to execute any and
all documents, instruments or things necessary ~o accept the counter-
offer for the purchase of the above-described property, dated Septem-
ber 29, 1988, and t~ close the purchase and sale of said property
upon the terms set £orth therein, an.d to issue any warrants and pay
any funds ~rom the appropriate City fund necessary to carry out the
purchase. A copy of the City's original of. let dated September 15,
1988, and the counter-offer da~ed September 29, 1988, are attached
hereto as Exhibits A and B, respectiwely, and incorporated herein by
this reference as if set forth in full.
Passed by the City Council for the City of Port Townsend and
signed by the ~4ayor this 4th day of October, 1988.
