A RESOLS~ION OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 88-71 PERTAINING TO A RESOLUTION OF
THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE
OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED A-T 1256 LAWRENCE STREET
WITHIN THE CITY, AND AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A
COUNTER-OFFER TO PURCHASE SAID PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend passed Resolution No. 88-71
on the 4th day of October, 19-88, a copy of which is attached hereto
and by this reference made a part hereof as if set forth in full,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Port Townsend de-
sires to amend such Resolution as set forth below to provide that
only the Mayor be required to execute any and all documents in con-
nection with the purchase and closing of said transaction and ac-
ceptance of the counter-offer, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Port Town-
send that Resolution No. 88-71 be and the same is hereby and amended
to provide that the Mayor of the City be and he is hereby authorized
to execute any and all documents necessary to accept the counter-
offer referred to therein, and any and all other documents necessary
to close the transaction, and the City Clerk/Treasurer is authorized
to issue the City warrants as necessary to close said transaction in
accordance with terms thereof, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk for the City of Port
Townsend is not required to execute any of the documents necessary
for accepting the counter-offer or closing of the transaction.
Passed by the City Council for the City of Port Townsend this
15th day of November, 1988, and signed by the Mayor on that date.
