A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREE-
MENT FOR EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the City desires to acquire the Easterly 15 feet of
Lots 17 through 32, inclusive, of Block 37, Eisenbeis Addition to
the City of Port Townsend, for public right-of-way purposes adja-
cent to an existing alley, and
WHEREAS, the abutting owners of Jac]~an Street located between
Twelfth and Fourteenth Streets desire to vacate 15 feet on each
side of Jackman Street, and agree that the compensation to be paid
therefor under the City's Street Vacation Ordinance shall be the
conveyance of the Easterly 15 feet described above, and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to execute an Agreement to carry
out these provisions, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Port Town-
send that the Mayor be and is hereby authorized and directed to
execute on behalf of the City of Port Townsend the attached Memor-
andum of Agreement, providing for the conveyance of the Easterly
15 feet of Lots 17 through 32, inclusive, of Block 37, Eisenbeis
Addition to the City of Port Townsend, if, after due hearing and
process, the City Council should vacate the West 15 feet and the
East 15 feet of Jackman Street located between Twelfth and Four-
teenth Streets.
Passed by the City Council for the City of Port Townsend and
signed by the Mayor this day of August, 1989.
