A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY
OF PORT TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE AN INTERAGENCY LEASEHOLD AGREEMENT WITH
THE WASHINGTON STATE PARKS AND RECREATION
COMMISSION IN CONNECTION WITH THE RENOVATION
OF THE HISTORIC FORT WORDEN STATE PARK BALT~ON
HANGER
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Port Townsend has
previously passed Resolution No. 89-80 and Resolution No. 89-86 in
support of the concept of the renovation and improvement to the
historic Fort Worden State Park balloon hanger and the City's
financial participation therein, and,
WHEREAS, the City desires to enter into an interagency
leasehold agreement with the Washington State Parks and Recreation
Commission setting forth the terms under which the City will
participate in the project, and,
WHEREAS, the previously approved agreement has undergone
material revisions which are satisfactory to both the City and
State Parks, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Port
Townsend that the Mayor of City is here and hereby authorized to
execute on behalf of the City of Port Townsend an interagency
leasehold agreement with the Washington State Parks and Recreation
Commission, in substantially the form attached hereto as Exhibit
"A", upon agreement first being approved by the City Attorney for
the City of Port Townsend.
PASSED, by the City Council for the City of Port Townsend and
signed by the Mayor this 2nd day of January, 1990.
