A RESOLUTION authorizing a contract for
consulting services with Stastny and Burke
Architecture for design assistance to produce
a specific development plan for the Port
Townsend Gateway Project.
on May 11, 1988, the City Council adopted by Resolution
88-43 a concept plan for the future development of the
Sims Way Corridor; and
the City has been awarded grant funds from the
Washington Department of Community Development and the
Washington State Department of Transportation to
develop a specific development plan in implementation
of the Port Townsend Gateway Concept Plan; and
contributions have been pledged in support of this goal
by the Port Townsend-Jefferson County Chamber of
Commerce, Puget Power, Jefferson Transit Authority, and
the Economic Development Council of Jefferson County;
and
the City Council has appropriated matching funds in the
1990 Budget of the city of Port Townsend; and
the Gateway Steering Committee has selected the firm of
Strastny and Burke to provide design assistance
following an open, competitive process; Now, Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement
for services with Stastny and Burke Architecture substantially
in the form of the agreement attached hereto as Attachment A.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and
