A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY
AT 725 HARRISON STREET, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CLERK TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO PURCHASE
SAID PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the real property located at 725 Harrison Street, de-
scribed as Lot 5, Block 2, Kuhn's Ranch Addition to the City of Port
Townsend, is located adjacent to the City of Port Townsend Fire Sta-
tion and is available for sale for the price of $62,500; and
WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Port Townsend has de-
termined that it is mn the interests of the City to purchase said
property to potentially be used in connection with the Port Townsend
Fire Department, or for other public purposes; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Port Town-
send that the Mayor and the City Clerk of the City are here and
hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City the attached
Real Estate Purchase and Sale Agreement, or any agreement substan-
tially in conformance therewith, for the purchase of said property
by the City of Port Townsend on the terms and conditions set forth
in the Agreement, or on terms and conditions substantially similar
thereto; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Port
Townsend that the Mayor and City Clerk are here and hereby authorized
and directed to execute on behalf of the City any and all other docu-
ments, instruments or things necessary to close said Purchase and
Sale, and the City Clerk is authorized and directed to issue the City's
warrant or warrants in such amounts as necessary to carry out the
terms of such Agreement.
Passed by the City Council for the City of Port Townsend and
signed by the Mayor this ~R~ day of July, 1990.
