A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PORT TOWNSEND SUPPORTING THE CONCEPT OF
DEVELOPMENT OF A "FARMER'S MARKET" WITHIN THE
CITY.
Whereas, certain agencies, organizations and individuals have
expressed an interest in developing and establishing a "Farmer's
Market" within the City of Port Townsend and
Whereas, a "Farmer's Market" within the City could potentially
link rural areas with the City's business district; provide variety
to the City's citizens; contribute to the economic development of
the City and the City's business district and to the character and
heritage of the community, now therefore
Be it resolved, by the City Council for the City of Port
Townsend that the Council supports the general concept of
development and establishment of a "Farmer's Market" within the
City, subject to compliance with any applicable City ordinances as
relates to land use, business, license and other regulations.
Passed by the City Council for the City of Port Townsend and signed
by the Mayor this 21st day of August, 1990.
