A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE NAYORT~) EXECUTE
A HISTORiC COMMUNITYTHEATERDEVELOPMENTGRANT
WITH PHIL JOHNSON FORTHE ROSE THEATERPROPERTY
Whereas, Phil Johnson desires to apply for a Historic
Community Theater Development Grant from the Department of
Community Development, and a local government must be the actual
applicant under the program, to rehabilitate the historic Rose
Theater Property, and
Whereas, based upon its contributing to the Historic District
of the City; the economy; tourism; and the improvement of the
historical Downtown Central Business District and is in furtherance
of the public benefit;
Now therefore, be it resolved by the City Council for the City
of Port Townsend to join in this application as a local government
entity, provided that, an approved concept of the project be
provided to the City; and that the City has no financial obligation
with respect to the project or the grant by an agreement with Phil
Johnson in form and substance acceptable to the City Attorney.
Adopted by the City council for the City of P6rt Townsend and
signed by the Mayor this 21st day of August, 1990.
