A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
THE CITY OF PORT TOW~]SEND AUTHORIZING THE ICAYOR
AND CITY TREASURER OF THE CITY TO ENTER INTO AND
CARRY OUT A PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR PURCHASE OF
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY
~EREAS, the real property more particularly described below
is available for purchase from the owner thereof, -on terms and
conditions acceptable to the City of Port Townsend; and
WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Port Townsend deter-
mines that it is in the public interest for the 'City to ourchase
said property for storm water and drainage control and for other
public purposes as may hereafter be determined by the City; now,
therefore, --
BE IT RESOLVED bY the City Council for the City of Port Tovm-
send that the Mayor and City T~easurer of the City be and they are
here and hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City of
Port Townsend, the attached Real Estate Purchase and Sale Agree-
ment for the purchase by the City of the following described real
property:
Lots 3 through 6 and Lots 9 through 16, inclusive, of' Block
1, Broadway Addition to the City of Port Townsend, situate
in the City of Port Townsend, J~fferson County, Washington.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk ~are
here and hereby authorized to execute any and all other documents
to close the transaction pursuant to the terms of the Agreement,
and, in consultation with the City'Attorney and the Public Works
Director, are here and hereby authorized to determine the satisfac-
tion of or waive the conditions precedent set forth in said Agree-
ment, as may be in the best interests of the City, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer of the City be
and he is here and hereby authorized to issue the City's warrant
or warrants as necessary for the purchase~price and cos'ts necessary
to be paid or incurred on behalf of the City fOr the purchase of
said property and the satisfaction of any conditions therein.
Passed by the'City Council for the City of Port Townsend and
approved and signed by the Mayor of the City this 15th day of
January , 199 1.
