AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON AMENDING SECTION 10.04.205 - FINE SCHEDULE FOR
VIOLATION OF PARKING TIME LIMITS, METHOD OF PARKING PROVISIONS
AND IMPROPER PARKING IN LOADING AND UNLOADING AND TAXICAB AND
BUS ZONES - OF THE PORT TOWNSEND MUNICIPAL CODE.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend has an established parking ordinance, Chapter
10.04, of the Port Townsend Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, Section 10.04.205, specifies the penalties for violations of the parking
ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that the penalties specified are insufficient to
cover the costs of providing parking enforcement services in terms of personnel, supplies
and processing; and
WHEREAS, the City determines it necessary to adjust penalties for parking violation to
recover the costs associated with providing enforcement services,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
SECTION 1. From and after December 31, 1999, the following revised penalties are
established for violations of PTMC 10.04:
Penalty for violations if paid within 15 days
Penalty for violations if paid after 15 days

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, approval and publication
in the form and manner provided by law.
ADOPTED at the regular meeting of the City Council on the ~O~*'day of
