A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO AN ENGI-
NEERING CONTP~CT WITH KRAMER, CHUN AND MAYO, INC.
(KCM) FOR ADDITIONAL VALUE ENGINEERING SERVICES
IN CONNECTION WITH THE CITY'S PROPOSED SECONDARY
SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend entered into a Contract with
KCM dated as of , 1990, to provide value engineering
services in connection with the establishment of secondary sewage
treatment at the City of Port Townsend's sewage treatment facility,
and
WHEREAS, as a result of litigation and the settlement thereof
by a Settlement Agreement, additional value engineering services are
required of KCM for the City, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Port Town-
send that the Mayor, Public Works Director and Attorney for the City
are here and hereby authorized and directed to negotiate on behalf
of the City an amendment to the above-referenced engineering agree-
ment for value engineering services, with KCM, to provide additional
value engineering services as required by that certain settlement
agreement relating to litigation which arose in connection with the
secondary sewage treatment plant and the issuance of permits there-
for, and to execute a contract as negotiated on behalf of the City
for such services, with a fee not to exceed a maximum of $13,000, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is hereby
authorized to issue the City's warrant or warrants in payment for
said services in accordance with such contract amendment.
Passed by the City Council for the City of Port Townsend and
