A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, Many City streets presently are of substandard
construction, and
WHEREAS,
Traffic and weight on many City streets have increased
substantially, and
WHEREAS,
Severe weather during the winter months has also
caused an increase in streets breaking up, and
WHEREAS,
The City receives 1./2 cent gas tax from the State for
road improvements in the amount of $60,000 per year, and
WHEREAS, Jefferson County will be contracting with the City to do
most of the work,
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of
Port Townsend authorizes the Mayor to sign this resolution
approving the attached Addendum to the 1991 Transportation
Improvement Program and the 6 year Transportation Improvement
Program for 1992-1997, with the understanding that as the
Transportation Improvement Program is completed, policies,
directions and priorities will likely result in longer term
changes.
Adopted bythe City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed
