and the City of Port Townsend for Section 306
Coastal Zone Management Funding to be used in
the development of a publi~ access program
incorporating the "Waterw&lk Trail" along the
shorelands of the Port Townsend Urban
Waterfront.
on December 4, 1990, the City Council adopted by
Ordinance 2216 the Port Townsend Urban Waterfront Plan;
and
the recommendations of the plan include
developing a public access trail along the
shoreline of the urban waterfront; and
the office of Shoreland and Coastal zone
Management of the Washington State Department
of Ecology requested proposals for matching
grant assistance for specific shoreline
projects; and
on February 5, 1991, the City Council
approved by Resolution 91-09 the application
for Section 306 Coastal Zone Management
funding from the Washington State Department
of Ecology's Shoreland and Coastal Zone
Management Program; and
the office of Shoreland and Coastal Zone
Management has approved the application, Now,
Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY ~E CITY COUNCIL OF ~E CITY OF PORT
that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement
with the Department of Ecology for matching grant assistance not
to exceed an expenditure of $1,250 by the City (excluding
volunteer in-kind services) substantially in the form of the
agreement attached hereto as Attachment A.
BE IT FURT~ERRESOLVED that any actions taken pursuant to the
authorization of this resolution but prior to its adoption are
hereby ratified and confirmed.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and
