A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PORT TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AN
'AGP~EMENT WITH JEFFERSON COUNTY TO WORK COOPER-
ATIVELY ON THE REPAIRS TO MEMORIAL FIELD/MONROE
STREET SIDEWALK AND AMBANKb~NT
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend has closed off a deter-
iorated portion of the Westerly sidewalk of Monroe Street as an
emergency measure to protect public safety; and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend proposes to share in the
efforts to reconstruct the subject portion of embankment and
sidewalk, with Jefferson County as the owner of Memorial Field;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend authorizes the Mayor to sign an agreement substantially
similar to the proposed agreement attached as Exhibit A with Jef-
ferson County and to direct the Public Works Director to work
with Jefferson County on repairs to Memorial Field/Monroe Street
sidewalk.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend
and signed by the Mayor this 3rd day of December, 1991.

AGREEMENT WITH JEFFERSON COUNTY TO WORK COOPER-
ATIVELY ON THE REPAIRS TO MEMORIAL FIELD/MONROE
STREET SIDEWALK AND AMBANKMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend has closed off a deter-
