A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PORT TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE ~YOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO BARBAP~
WILLIAMS TO CLEAR TITLE TO VACATED COSGROVE
STREET
WHEREAS, the'City 'CoUncil for the City of Port Townsend oassed
Ordinance Nos. 2122 and 2202, vacating that portion of unopened
Cosgrove Street lying between the Eastern boundary of Oak Street
and a projection of the Southwest boundary of Lot 5, Block 6, Pet-
tygrove's Addition to the City of Port Townsend, at a right angle
to the Southeastern boundary of Cosgrove Street, reserving in Or-
dinance 2202 a ten-foot wide utility easement; and
WHEREAS, it was the intent of the City Council and of the Ap-
plicant at the time that the Applicant would become the fee owner
of that portion of vacated Cosgrove Street subject to the utility
easement reserved by the City, and the Applicant Barbara Williams
has paid to the City compensation as required by the City's street
vacation Ordinances, and
WHEREAS, a question has been raised concerning the title of
vacated Cosgrove Street due to its relative location in or next to
the A. L. Pettygrove Addition to the City of Port Townsend and
other abutting property of the City, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Port Town-
send that the Mayor and Clerk of the Citv be and they are here and
hereby authorized to execute on behalf oS the City a Quit Claim
Deed to Barbara Williams to that portion of vacated Cosgrove Street
described above, reserving unto the City the utility easement de-
scribed in Ordinance 2202.
Passed by the City Council for the City of Port Townsend and
approved and signed by the Mayor of the City this _~ day of
