A IOINT RESOLUTION of the Board of County
Commissioners of Iefferson County and the
Port Townsend City Council, updating the
regional growth management strategy.
WHEREAS, Jefferson County and the City of Port Townsend are complying with the regional
growth management strategy entered into in September 1990; and
WHEREAS, new planning elements need to be incorporated into the regional growth
management strategy; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF JEFFERSON
COUNTY AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND that the
attached Regional Growth Management strategy of the County and the City is hereby adopted
as the amended overall strategy of the County and the City to provide for orderly, coordinated
management of growth within our jurisdictions in implementation of Engrossed Substitute House
Bill 292, the Washington State Growth Management Act, as amended.
