HomeMy WebLinkAbout92-066RESOLUTION NO. ~?-~J A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND DECLARING AMERICAN CONSTRUCTION CO., INC., TO BE THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE, RESPONSIBLE BIDDER FOR THE CITY DOCK RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT AND AWARDING THE CONTRACT TO AMERICAN CONSTRUCTION CO., INC. SUBJECT TO THE CONDITIONS STATED HEREIN. WHEREAS, on May 6, 1992, the City advertised and requested bids from contractors on the project; and opened the sealed bids on May 29, 1992; and, WHEREAS, Public Works has evaluated the bids, investigated the qualifications of the low bidders, and determined that American Construction Co., Inc. is the lowest responsive, responsible bidder; NOW THEREFORE Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend as follows: Section 1. The bid submitted by American Construction Co,. Inc. for the City Dock Reconstruction project in the amount of $346,038 (including sales tax) is hereby accepted and approved and American Construction Co., Inc. is declared the lowest responsive, responsible bidder on the project. Section 2. The contract for the City Dock Reconstruction project is hereby awarded to American Construction Co., Inc., subject to the following: ae Approval of this award by the funding agencies: Department of Ecology and Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation; and be Approval of the final design handrail and other details by the Historic Preservation Commission Ce Issuance of the Exemption to the Shoreline Substantial Development Permit d. Receipt of the HPA from the Fisheries Department Se The contractor's signature of the contract and posting of required bonds and all other documentation required by the contract documents and by law. Section 3. The award of the contract will not be final until the conditions set forth in Section 2 above have been met. RESOLUTION NO.
