A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO APPROVE A CHANGE
ORDERS FOR CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM FOR THE WASTEWATER
TREATMENT FACILITY.
WHEREAS, Change Orders are a necessary and regular occurrence on large construction
projects such as the Wastewater Treatment Facility expansion and as such have
been included as 5 % of the contract mount; and
WHEREAS, Change Orders are actual changes to the original contract, requiring fair
negotiation and signatures by the City, the Engineer (CI-I2M Hill), the Contractor
(IMCO), and the State (DOE); and,
WHEREAS, Changes are necessary to the climate control system at this time and these changes
have been approved by DOE as being grant eligible,
NOW THEREFORE
Be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend does hereby authorize the
Mayor to approve Change order//6 for the climate control system.
