A RESOLUTION authorizing the mayor to enter
into an agreement (Grant Agreement No.
G9300177) with the state of Washington
Department of Ecology for Phase II of the
Point Hudson Planning Study.
on December 4, 1990, the City Council adopted the Urban
Waterfront Plan, which also directed Port and City staff
to establish a Point Hudson Advisory Committee to assess
the feasibility of the Point Hudson Urban Maritime
District;
the Point Hudson Committee was established in April of
1991 and was charged to "help achieve community consensus
on the future uses of Point Hudson and lay the foundation
for the transition to those uses; and to assist and
inform the City Council and Port Commission in the
development of policies, programs and projects for the
future of Point Hudson," and;
the Committee has completed Phase I of the planning
process and has received grant funding from the
Department of Ecology to assist the Committee in the
preparation of Phase II of the Point Hudson Planning
Study. Now, Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with
the Washington State Department of Ecology, substantially in the
form of the agreement attached hereto as Attachment A.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that any actions taken pursuant to this

authorization but prlo to its passage are hereby ratified and
confirmed.
