A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
PORT TOWNSEND AND LOCAL UNION NO. 589 OF THE TEAMSTERS
UNION FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES AND OTHER
REPRESENTED, NON-UNIFORMED EMPLOYEES EFFECTIVE FOR
THE PERIOD BETWEEN JANUARY 1, 1993 THROUGH DECEMBER 30,
1995.
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the terms of the tentative agreement
negotiated by the Mayor's staff and the bargaining representatives for the Teamster's Union; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to implement the tentative agreement substantially
in the form presented to the City Council in executive session at its meeting held on February
16, 1993 by authorizing the Mayor to sign a final agreement with the Teamster's Union, Now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND:
The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a collective bargaining agreement between
the City of Port Townsend and Local Union No. 589 of the Teamsters Union for Police
Department employees and other represented, non-uniformed employees of the City effective for
the period between January 1, 1993 through December 30, 1995.
Adopted by the City Council for the Cipj~ Port]t~pwnsppd and signed by the Mayor this
