A RF_~OLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A QUIT
CLAIM OF AN EXISTING SEWER EASEMENT TO VIOLA GRACE
PELHAM, AND ANY OTHER AGREEMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECT
THE EXCHANGE, IN EXCHANGE FOR THE RECORDING OF A
SUBSTITUTE EASEMENT MEETING THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the City has previously vacated Beech Street between Q and P Streets; and
WHEREAS, the City retained an easement in the location of the vacated right of way for
sewer facilities; and
WHEREAS, Viola Grace Pelham has proposed to relocate the existing sewer line and
provide an alternate easement in return for the City quit claiming the former easement to her;
Now, therefore
. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND:
The Mayor is authorized to execute a quit claim of an existing sewer easement located
in vacated Beach Street in return for the delivery of a new sewer easement and relocation of the
existing sewer at no expense to the City. The Mayor is further authorized to execute any other
agreements as may be required by the City Attorney to effectuate the exchange.
