A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO BID FOR A BIOSOLIDS
HAULING VEHICLE.
The City is expanding the Wastewater Treatment Plant and constructing a
biosolids/composting facility as required by the Washington State Department of
Ecology; and
The City wishes to eliminate the need to haul septage/sludge long distances for any
longer than is necessary; and
The project includes funds budgeted for a biosolids hauling vehicle to transport
biosolids from the Wastewater Treatment Facility to the Biosolids Composting
Facility;
The City desires to prepare the appropriate documents and bid for this
vehicle in a fair and timely fashion, in accordance with City and State bidding
laws;
NOW THEREFORE
Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that it authorizes the bidding
of a biosolids hauling vehicle.
