A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PORT TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE BIDDING OF
CONSTRUCTION OF A STATIC PILE BIOSOLIDS/
SEPTAGE COMPOSTING FACILITY.
the City of Port Townsend applied for a grant from the Cemennial Clean Water
Fund through Washington State Department of Ecology; and
the State Departmem of Ecology determined the City of Port Townsend to be
eligible for a 100% grant for the eligible work in the amoum of $1,731,000.00;
and
the City wishes to construct the facility in a time frame that will eliminate the
need to haul septage/sludge long distances for any longer than is necessary; and
the City desires to prepare appropriate bidding documents to bid for this
construction in a fair and timely fashion, in accordance with City and State bidding
laws;
NOW THEREFORE

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that it authorizes the
bidding of construction of a static pile biosolids~mposfing facility.
