A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
AGRF_,~~ WITH JEFFERSON COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT NUMBER
5 PROVIDING FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF THE COSTS OF ADVANCED
LIFE SUPPORT RESPONSE BY THE PORT TOWNSEND FIRE
DEPARTMENT WITHIN FIRE DISTRICT NUMBER 5.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend maintains an Advanced Life Support/Paramedic
call service as part of its Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, Fire District No. 5 does not have the capability to provide such services and
periodically calls upon Port Townsend to provide such services when Port Townsend has
personnel available; and
WHEREAS, Port Townsend and Fire District No. 5 wish to provide a method for
reimbursing Port Townsend for the services provided in this regard; Now, therefore:
BE 1T RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND:
The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an Agreement in substantially the form
attached hereto with Fire District No. 5 providing for reimbursement of the costs of providing
Advanced Life Support/Paramedic services on a periodic basis.
