A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ~AYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH PENNY HUBBARD IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE SAME FORM AS ATTACHED HERETO TO PROVIDE SEXUAL HARASSMENT TRAINING SERVICES TO CITY EMPLOYEES. WHEREAS, the Mayor wishes to undertake a training program for all employees of the City regarding sexual harassment in the workplace; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to provide such training to avoid the occurrence of sexual harassment in the workplace and to provide guidance regarding how it will be handled should it occur in the workplace; and WHEREAS, Penny Hubbard is a consultant with the necessary training and qualifications to undertaken such a training program; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the city of Port Townsend that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an Agreement in substantially the same form as attached hereto to contract with Penny Hubbard to conduct a training program for City employees regarding sexual harassment in the workplace. Clise, Mayor Approved as to form: ~Dennls ~cL~~rney' c: \council \hubbard. res Proposed Professional Services Agreemem Counseling & Consulting Services: between the City of Port Tb'"wnsend & Penney Hubbard Section 1, Exhibit A The initial agreement is for the contractor to provide the following: one 3 or 4 hour management training session for department heads 1 or 2 hour follow-up meeting with management following employee training sessions two 3 hour training sessions for planning & building depa~nments, city administration & attorney's office two 3 hour sessions for the police department staff & volunteers three 3 hour sessions for the fire detntrtment staff & volunteers one 3 hour session for library staff three 3 hour training sessions for public works pre-training interviews with 5 people in public works pre-training interviews with 4 people from other departments conduct a brief written survey of city employees prior to training sesssions The total fee for the above training sessions and interviews will be $2500, billed monthly as services are provided Additional time spend with management, employees, or additional training sessions will be billed at the hourly rate of $75 per hour. (If there is a request for considerable extra hours, an additional agreement could be made for a total fee for those services that reflects a reduced hourly rate.)
