A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
WITH THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION
AUTHORIZING PAYMENT TO THE CITY OF AN ANNUAL FEE FOR FIRE
PROTECTION SERVICES BY THE CITY FOR FORT WORDEN.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend provides fire protection services to the
Washington State Department of Parks and Recreation for Fort Worden; and
WHEREAS, the City and the Department of Parks and Recreation recognize that the
services provided by the City should be compensated for at a negotiated price; Now, therefore:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an Agreement with the Washington
State Department of Parks and Recreation in substantially the form as attached hereto, providing
compensation to the City for the rendering of fire protection services at Fort Worden.
