A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT PROVIDING FOR MUTUAL AID BETWEEN THE FIRE
DEPARTMENT AND THE U.S. NAVY, JEFFERSON COUNTY FIRE
DISTRICTS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, AND 6, BRINNON VOLUNTEER AMBULANCE,
QUILCENE AMBULANCE AND MARROWSTONE AMBULANCE.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend and the various other entities party to this
agreement provide fire and ambulance services in Jefferson County; and
WHEREAS, the parties to the agreement wish to augment their individual departmental
capabilities through mutual aid under certain circumstances; and
WHEREAS, it is mutually deemed feasible, desirable and beneficial to provide such
mutual aid; and
WHEREAS, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, R.C.W. 39.34, allows such cooperative
agreements to be entered into; Now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND:
The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a mutual aid Agreement regarding fu'e
services between the City of Port Townsend and the U.S. Navy, Jefferson County Fire Districts
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, Brinnon Volunteer Ambulance, Quilcene Volunteer Ambulance and
Marrowstone Ambulance in substantially the form as attached hereto.
