A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
PURCHASE AND SALE AGREEMENT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE SAME
FORM AS ATTACHED HERETO, WITH MARITIME SERVICE COMPANY
FOR PURCHASE BY THE CITY OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE
SOUTHWESTERLY CORNER OF WATER AND ADAMS STREETS AND
ALSO AUTHORIZING THE CLERK/TREASURER TO ISSUE A WARRANT
TO PAY THE PURCHASE PRICE AND CLOSING COSTS ASSOCIATED
WITH THE TRANSACTION.
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the proposed purchase of real property at the
southwesterly corner of Water and Adams Streets, and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to acquire and use the property involved for public
· purposes, and
WHEREAS, the City is being assisted in the purchase by a donation of fundS from a
group of citizens interested in preserving the site for public use, Now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND THAT:
The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Purchase and Sale Agreement, in
substantially the same form as attached hereto, with Maritime Service Company for the purchase
by the City of a parcel of property located at the southwesterly corner of Water and Adams
Streets.
