& RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A CONTRACT
A~REE.W~NT WITH UTILITY SERVICES ASSOCIATION, INC. FOR
LEAK DETECTION SERVICES ON APPROXIMATELY 25 MILES OF
WATER MAIN PIPELINES.
WHEREAS
Funds have been allocated in the 1993 budget for
professional services for water the system;
and
WHEREAS,
The reduction of water leakage can result in financial
savings as well as reserving more water for customer use;
and
WHEREAS,
Utility Services Association, Inc. has proven experience
in providing leak detection services and has been
selected from our Professional Services Roster in
accordance with RCW 39.80,
N 0 W T H E R E F 0 R E
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
that it authorizes the Mayor to sign this contract agreement for
leak detection services covering but not limited to 25 miles of
water main pipeline with Utility Services Association, Inc., not to
exceed the sum of $8,000.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed
