A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO BID FOR A TUB
GRINDER FOR THE BIOSOLIDS/COMPOSTING FACILITY.
The City is expanding the Wastewater Treatment Plant and constructing a
biosolids/composting facility as required by the Washington State Department of
Ecology; and
WHEREAS, The City wishes to construct the facility in a time frame that will eliminate the
need to haul septage/sludge long distances for any longer than is necessary; and
The City has now received grant funds for the construction of this
facility and has signed an Interlocal Agreement with Jefferson County and begun
on Phase I of the facility; and
WHEREAS, The project includes funds budgeted for heavy equipment including a mb grinder;
WHEREAS, The City desires to bid for this equipmem in a fair and timely fashion,
NOW THEREFORE
Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that it authorizes the Mayor to
bid for a mb grinder for use at the biosolids/,cflmapOs
