A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND ADOPTING A SEXUAL HARASSMENT PREVENTION
POLICY FOR THE CITY
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the City of Port Townsend that employees have a
workplace that is desirable and free from any form of discrimination or harassment; and
WHEREAS, any form of discrimination or harassment is inappropriate, offensive, illegal
and will not be tolerated; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City and its employees that all allegations of
sexual harassment be investigated promptly and that appropriate disciplinary actions be taken
where warranted; Now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND THAT:
A sexual harassment policy in the form attached hereto is adopted by the City Council
for the City of Port Townsend and is to be given effect immediately.
