RESOLUTION NO. 93-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AN AMENDMENT
TO THE EXISTING CONTRACT WITH CH2M HILL FOR
ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE BIOSOLIDS COMPOSTING
FACILITY.
The City Council presently has completed the Biosolids Report, the MOU with
the County for cooperative sludge/septage composting and use of the landfill, and
has submitted for Centennial Cleanwater Grant funding for construction of the
facilities; and
The City is required to meet the DOE compliance schedule for sludge
facilities, to construct a facility that will eliminate the need to haul sludge/septage
long distances; and
Engineering services are required to enable the City to meet the compliance
schedule and CH2M Hill has performed satisfactorily for the City regarding this
project, ,~
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that it authorizes the Mayor to
sign an amendment to the existing contract with CH2M Hill for engineering services for the
Biosolids Composting Facility project.
