A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AND SUBMIT THE
1993 TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PLAN AND THE 1994-1999
SlX YEAR TIP.
The Streets Committee of the City Council has reviewed the
1993 Streets Transportation' Improvement Plan and the 1994-1999 Six Year Plan;
and
The City is required by the State of Washington Department of Transportation to
submit an approved Transportation Improvement Plan by July 31 of each year; and
Many City streets presently are of substandard construction, and
WHEREAS, Traffic and weight on many City streets have increased substantially, and
WHEREAS, The City recieves 1/2 cent gas tax from the State for road improvements
amounting to approximately 60,000.00 per year
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend
authorizes the Mayor to sign this resolution approving the attached Addendum to the 1993
Transportation Improvement Program and the 6 year Transportation Improvement Program for
1994 -1999 for submission to the State Department of Transportation.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor this
