TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT, IN
SUBSTANTIALLY THE FORM ATTACHED HERETO, WITH MARY WINTERS
TO PROVIDE CONTRACT LEGAL SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the budget approved for the City Attorney's office
contains funds allocated to the use of outside legal services to be
used in case there is a need for such services due to a conflict or
a work overload situation, and
WHEREAS, due to the current workload created by pending
litigation regarding adoption of a revised Shoreline Master Program
and other pending matters, there is a need for such outside legal
services,
NOW THEREFORE,
Be it Resolved that the City Council for the City of Port
Townsend does hereby authorize the Mayor to sign an Agreement with
Mary Winters for contract legal services on an hourly basis at the
rate of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25) an hour. All work is to be
prepared as assigned by the City Attorney and under the supervision
of the City Attorney.
