A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO REJECT ALL BIDS FOR
A TUB GRINDER FOR THE BIOSOLIDS/COMPOSTING FACILITY,
AND TO REBID THIS EQUIPMENT.
The City is expanding the Wastewater Treatment Plant and constructing a
biosolids/composfing facility as required by the Washington State Department of
Ecology; and
The City has now received grant funds for the construction of this
facility including funds budgeted for a mb grinder; and
The City has advertised and bid for tiffs equipment in a fair and timely' fasl'don,
according to State and local laws; and
Of the three bids received, the two lower bids both included exceptions to the
specifications which will not meet the necessary specifications required for the tub
~ needed at the facility; and
The City may, according to State and local regulations reject and all bids
due to irregularities such as exceptions to specifications, and may then rebid this
tub grinder,
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that it authorizes the Mayor to
reject all bids for a tub grinder for use at the biosolids/composfing facility and to rend ~s
equipment. ~
Adopted by the City Council of the City signed by the Mayor this 6th day
of July, 1993.
