WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO AWARD THE BID FOR
A BIOSOLIDS HAULING VEHICLE.
The City is expanding the Wastewater Treatment Plant and constructing a
biosolids/composting facility as required by the Washington State DeparUnent of
Ecology; and
The City wishes to eliminate the need to haul septage/sludge long distances for any
longer than is necessary; and
The project includes funds budgeted for a biosolids hauling vehicle to transport
biosolids from the Wastewater Treatment Facility to the Biosolids Composting
Facility;
The City has prepared the appropriate documents and bid for this
vehicle in a fair and timely fashion, in accordance with City and State bidding
laws;
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that it authorizes the Mayor to
award the bid for a biosolids hauling vehicle.

of July, 1993.
