A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PORT TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
ADVERTISE THE BID FOR THE RENOVATION OF THE
POPE MARINE BUILDING

The Pope Marine Building is a historic building that the City wishes to
preserve and enhance; and
Through the guidance of Friends of City Dock, Hiner Carson Architects has
prepared plans to replace the roof and renovate the building interior into a
multipurpose facility including Visual and Performing Arts functions; and
Funds for this renovation have been authorized by City Council through
Hotel/Motel Tax Revenue;
NOW THEREFORE
Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that it authorizes the
Mayor to advertise the bid for the renovation of the Pope Marine Building.
