into an agreement for professional services
with CoastWise Consulting for project
management and coordination of Phase III of
the Point Hudson Planning Study.
WHEREAS,
the Point Hudson Committee was established in April of
1991 and was charged to "help achieve community consensus
on the future uses of Point Hudson and lay the foundation
for the transition to those uses; and to assist and
inform the City Council and Port Commission in the
development of policies, programs and projects for the
future of Point Hudson," and;
WHEREAS,
the Committee has completed Phase I and Phase II of the
planning process and has received additional grant
funding from the Department of Ecology to provide
consulting services to assist in the preparation a draft
plan for the future use of Point Hudson.
CoastWise Consulting provided project management and
coordination for Phase II of the Point Hudson Planning
Study and the Point Hudson Advisory Committee requests
that Coastwise Consulting provide project coordination
during Phase III of the study; Now, Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with
the Coastwise Consulting, substantially in the form of the
agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that any actions taken pursuant to this
authorization but prior to its passage are hereby ratified and
confirmed.
