A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
WAIVE THE PERFORMANCE BOND FOR THE
HALLER FOUNTAIN RECONSTRUCTION
PROJECT
Whereas,
The City of Port Townsend has authorized $12,000 and Kiwanis has
raised $3,000 for the reconstruction of the Hailer Fountain Basin;
Whereas,
Townsend Builders,' Inc., a local General Contractor, provided a Iow
bid of $14,121.80 and was awarded the Contract to perform the work;
Whereas,
Townsend Builders, Inc. requested a waiver to performance Bond
requirements; and
VVhereas,
City Council finds that the special circumstances and cost constraints
of this community project combined with the familiarity of Townsend
Builders, Inc. merits special consideration.
N O W T H E R E F O R E
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
that it authorizes the Mayor to waive requirements for a performance bond for the
Construction of the Hailer Fountain.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor
