A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE' CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND DECLARING A & A CONTRACTING TO BE THE LOWEST
RESPONSIVE RESPONSIBLE BIDDER FOR RENOVATING THE POPE
MARINE BUILDING.
WHEREAS,
the City Council authorized the design of, and
appropriated funds for the renovation of the Pope Marine
Building; and
WHEREAS,
the City has advertised and received bids for this
construction work in a fair and timely fashion, in
accordance with City and State bidding laWs; and
WHEREAS,
the City has found A & A Contracting 'to be the lowest
responsive responsible bidder,
NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend as
follows:
SECTION 1:
The bid submitted by A & A Contracting for the Renovation of Pope
Marine Building is hereby accepted and approved. The Base Bids and
1 Alternate, Number One, is designated as the Scope of the
Contract amounting to $ 58,452.00 plus sales tax, and that A & A
Contracting is declared to be the lowest, responsive, responsible
bidder on the project.
SECTION 2:
The contract as identified by the contract documents entitled "Pope
Marine Visual and Performing Arts Building" is hereby awarded to A
& A Contracting, subject to A & A Contracting's signature of the
contract and posting of an acceptable performance bond, payment
bond, insurance certificates and all other documentation required
by the contract documents and by law.
SECTION 3:
The contract shall be signed by the Mayor and the City's award of
the contract will be final when the conditions set forth in Section
2 above have been met .
