A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER
ONE AND TO DIRECT STAFF TO SETTLE CHANGE ORDERS FOR UP TO
$1,200.00 FOR A SINGLE CHANGE, FOR CONSTRUCTION COSTS FOR THE
POPE MARINE BUILDING RENOVATION PROJECT.
WHEREAS, Change Orders are a necessary and regular occurrence on construction projects
such as the Pope Marine Building Renovation Project; and
WHEREAS, Change Orders are actual changes to the original contract, requiring prompt, fair
negotiation and signatures by the City and the Contractor; and,
WHEREAS, The City wishes to expedite negotiations and finalizing of necessary Change Orders,
NOW THEREFORE
Be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend does hereby authorize the
Mayor to:
A. Execute Change Order No. 1 for the amount of $3,460.00; and
B. Settle Change Orders for up to $1,200.00 for the Pope Marine Building Renovation Project
