A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PORT TOWNSEND DECLARING KNIGHT
MANUFACTURING CORP. OF WISCONSIN TO BE THE
LOWEST, RESPONSIVE, RESPONSIBLE BIDDER FOR
THE COMPOST MIXER.
WHEREAS, The Biosolids Composting Facility is nearing completion and will begin full
operation soon and the facility will require the acquisition of a compost mixer to make the
facility operational; and
WHEREAS, The City has advertised and received bids for the supply and delivery of a
compost mixer; and
WHEREAS, Bids were received in a fair and timely fashion, in accordance with City and State
bidding laws; and
WHEREAS, The City has found Knight Manufacturing Corp. of Wisconsin to be the lowest,
responsive, responsible bidder,
N O W T H E R E F O R E
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend as follows:
1. The bid submitted by Knight Manufacturing Corp. of Wisconsin is hereby accepted and
declared to be the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder.
2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Knight Manufacturing Corp.
of Wisconsin.
3. Payment to Knight Manufacturing Corp. of Wisconsin is conditional upon passing the
performance requirement after the equipment is installed.
