A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A CONTRACT
AGREEMENT WITH UTILITY SERVICES ASSOCIATION, INC. FOR
LEAK DETECTION SERVICES ON &PPROXIMATELY 25 MILES OF
WATER MAIN pIPELINES. ~
WHEREAS,

WHEREAS,
Funds have been allocated in the 1994 budget for
professional services for water the system;
and
The reduction of water leakage through previous leak
detection efforts has resulted in financial savings as
well as reserving more water for customer use; and
Utility Services Association, Inc. has proven experience
in providing leak detection services and has been
selected from our Professional Services Roster in
accordance with RCW 39.80,
N O W T H E R E F O R E
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
that it authorizes the Mayor to sign a contract agreement in
substantial form as attached for leak detection services covering
but not limited to 25 miles of water main pipeline with utility
Services Association, Inc., not to exceed the sum of $8,000.
