A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TowNsEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AN AGREED ORDER WITH THE STATE OF
WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR TAKING CERTAIN ACTION TO
COMPLY WITH THE SURFACE WATER TREA~ RULR.
The City has received notification from the Department of
Health that the City can avoid filtration at this time,
and,
The avoidance of filtration is contingent on many follow-
though action items, including increasing chlorine
contact time, and,
The Department of Health and the City have an Agreed
Order that needs revision and updating and,
The Water Advisory Committee has reviewed the Order and
recommended the City sign the order;
NOW THEREFORE
Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend
that it authorizes the Mayor to sign the Agreed Order with the
Department of Health regarding water filtration avoidance.
Adopted by the City Council of the/~~Port Townsend and signed
